Company History
Incorporated on the 29th June 2004, 'Simply Extras' started life as the brain child of just two people who had worked together for a number of years within the travel and leisure industry.
One of the things that our budding entrepreneurs had noticed was that although people always wanted the best possible deal when searching for holiday services, no one liked to spend hours trawling from one web site to another with paper and pen in hand. Realising that there was a gap in the market for an effective and unique airport parking comparison web site, they took up the challenge to see if they could take the hard work out of finding the best online deals while also giving the customer the ability to quickly and easily sort and compare their search results.
Utilising the knowledge and experience gained throughout their respective careers, it wasn't long before the newly formed company had established an online presence and was awaiting its first booking. This materialised on the 2nd of August 2004, barely a month after the company formation and only one hour after the site was launched.
Working only with reputable market leaders, the company soon gained the respect and recognition of both customers and the travel industry as an authority travel site. Able to quickly and effectively show comprehensive airport parking information and prices based on the customer's requirements, travellers could at a glance compare a range of options and book via the web site's secure booking system. Because of its innovative approach and ease of use, the web site soon received endorsements and praise from the travel trade and national press including 'The Mail on Sunday' and 'The Sunday Times'.
Onwards and upwards
Realising that its unique approach had proved to be a winning formula, it wasn't long before Simply Extras was looking to adapt the same principles of simplicity and ease of use to represent a range of other travel related products. After just a few short years, the portfolio of products has grown from one to four with future products and services on the horizon. Since those early days the company has expanded beyond recognition, without ever losing sight that satisfying the customer's needs was the root of its success.
Inspired by this success, the ever growing product range and most importantly, the increasing number of regular customers, it was decided in 2008 to move the portfolio of sites in 'Simply Extras' to one site, namely gosimply.com. Today, gosimply continues to pride itself on customer service and its ability to instantly provide access to a range of quality backed travel products at the best possible prices. With its extensive range of products and services, travellers can come to the gosimply.com web site to customise many aspects of their journey from booking a flight, arranging airport parking, booking an overnight stay at one of the many great value airport hotels, arranging travel insurance and that all important car hire at the arrival destination. Because of the choice and flexibility that the company now offers, it was felt that to better represent the holiday concept, a change in company name and image was needed.
Although starting life as simply a portal for holiday extras and add ons, we hope that whilst retaining the winning formula of yesterday, the exciting developments of the business will rise to the challenge of tomorrow's travellers.
